Youth is the prime period in one’s life, period full of enthusiasm, power and creativity and knowing the Lord in one’s youth is really a blessed state. Bible advises “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth” (Ecclesiastes 12:1) and cautions “Lest you lose your honor to others and your dignity to one who is cruel” (Proverbs 5:9) and “For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly” -- Proverbs 5:23
Guiding young ones to Jesus Christ is a challenging task. Young People's Endeavour (Y. P. E) is the forum of youths in the church, which aims for leading youth to saving grace of the Lord, channelizing their creative abilities for God’s glory, guiding them to discipleship and giving them opportunities for partaking in the ministry.
Y. P. E meetings are conducted once at Church worship centre under the guidance of the church pastor, during which time is spent in worship, prayer, edification through God’s word, singing, verses recitation, bible quiz, general knowledge quiz, instrumental music, group songs and other programmes, actively participated by all members.
As part of this ministry, seminars, musical events, picnics, talent competitions are carried out and provides spiritual encouragement and fellowship to bachelors. It also contributes for conducting Y. P. E Annual State Camp in Kerala and also involved in social activitiesn. Y. P. The present office bearers are Secretary Br. Sabu Pradheesh, Joint Secretary Br. Jestin K. Samuel, Treasurer Br. Sanchu Pappachen, Joint Treasurer Br. Kennedy Antony and YPE Committee Member Br. Y. P. E has earned many awards in the regional and inter-church competitions. We thankfully remember our past leaders for their remarkable efforts in developing the Y. P. E ministry and we are grateful to God for His guidance in this mission and trust Him for all our future endeavors.
God bless you.
Lord Jesus Christ confers great importance to women folk, which is evident throughout the Bible, especially in the New Testament. Women constituted considerable section of the crowd that followed Jesus in His public sermons. During His earthly ministry, Jesus saved them from sin, released those under demonic oppression and also healed their diseases. Jesus also allowed them to be partakers in His ministry; few were blessed to witness His death and Mary Magdalene was the first to see our resurrected Lord.
Women’s role in church ministry being significant, following the pattern of Church of God - Kerala State, our church also constituted the Ladies Mission (LM) which provides a platform for spiritual and moral up-liftment of women members who represent 38% of our church. This ministry gives ample opportunities for ladies in developing their talents and increasing their spiritual knowledge. Ladies Meetings are convened monthly at residence of members, under the guidance of the church pastor. The gathering spends time in worship, intercessory prayers, God’s word, testimonies and bible quiz. As part of this ministry, ladies visit women’s hostels, provide spiritual encouragement and fellowship.
LM activities are coordinated by the LM Secretary and Treasurer, elected and appointed by the church for one year period. Sis. Sherin Mathews and Sis.Bindhu Pramod are the present Secretary and Treasurer of Ladies Ministry. Over the past several years LM has been beneficial for the growth of our church and a blessing to all.
We fondly remember our past secretaries for their remarkable efforts in developing the LM. We thank God for His guidance in this mission and trust Him for all our future endeavors.
